小孩看不懂，大人看睡着，能完全看完，全是因为怀旧情结在支撑，渡边的出演和新版《哥斯拉》一个意思，即madebyjapan。剧情在比卡丘猜测主角父亲还活着的时候就知道结局，所以说大人看会睡着。值得赞的地方是影片中的蒜头王八做得超真实，那种两栖动物皮肤湿滑的画面，算得上将梦可宝带进了现实。
